Vacancies at WAEC headquarters, Ghana
The West African Examinations Council, a sub-regional organization responsible for the conduct of a variety of examinations in the English-speaking West African countries, invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions at its headquarters office in Accra, Ghana:
1. Assistant Registrar (Public Affairs)
Duties:
- Public/Press Relations duties
- Organising council meetings/events
- Maintaining/updating the Council's website
- Production of WAEC Diary
- Production of WAEC Annual Reports, Season's Greeting Card, News
- Production of Registrar's Bulletin
- Drafting speeches
- Preparing folders for meetings
- Any other duties so assigned.
Eligibility:
- Must have a good first degree in Mass Communication/Arts/Journalism/Public Relations
- At least 3years post qualification experience in a reputable establishment
- Not more than 4years
- Good interpersonal skills, team player, analytical and communication skills
2. Assistant Registrar (International Exams)
Duties:
- Will be reporting to the head, international exams
- Monitoring of moderating committee meetings
- Compilation of reports
- Arranging for the various meetings handled by the department
Eligibility:
- A good university degree from a recognized university
- At least 3years post qualification experience in relevant areas
- Good writing skills
- Not more than 40 years old
- Good communication skill and team player
3. Assistant Registrar (Admin)
Duties:
- Assisting director of admin in day-to-day running of the department
- Ensuring safety and security of office properties and documents
- Responsible for insurance, legal, safety and other compliance requirements
- Preparation of reports of key activities/events in the department
Eligibility:
- Good university degree from recognized university
- At least 3years post qualification experience
- Not more than 40 years old.
