The Ministry of Federal Capital Territory said on Thursday that it budgeted over N6 billion for primary health care service delivery in the FCT over the next three years.

The Minister of State for FCT, Ms Olajumoke Akinjide, said this in Kwwali, FCT, at the inauguration and handing over of a cardiology centre of Kwali General Hospital.

The centre was donated by Star Deep Water Petroleum Limited and its partners, Abgami, as part of their community development services.

"The project, which will be executed in phases, will be facilitated through the collaboration of FCT SURE-P and the six area councils in the FCT," Akinjide said.

She said the construction and donation of the centre were a welcome development.

Akinjide called on other corporate bodies to emulate the gesture.

Earlier the Director of the company, Mr Jeffrey Ewing, said the centre had such facilities as standard X-ray machine, wards, treatment rooms and laboratories.

"This projects have been implemented with the strong support of the minister and the people of FCT.

"The FCT ministry provided the land, permits, manpower, electricity and security," he said.

Mr Ibrahim Daniel, Chairman, Kwali Area Council, commended the team and pledged support for all investors in Kwali.
