Media Training for ECOWAS Journalists
Print and Online journalists from the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), with a minimum of four years of professional experience and a strong interest in political and conflict sensitive reporting, can now apply for "The Media’s Role in Conflict Transformation and Peace Building, West Africa" course of the International Institute for Journalism (IIJ), Germany.
The journalism course, which is scheduled to hold in Accra, Ghana, from April 04 through to April 15, 2011, seeks to strengthen accurate and responsible journalism with the view of increasing the awareness for the media’s contribution to the escalation of violence as much as to reconciliation and understanding among journalists and media houses in the ECOWAS region.
Applications to be forwarded to the IIJ via the German Embassy in the resident country of the applicant to:
