Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook founder marries long time girlfriend

Mark Zuckerberg, chief executive of Facebook, has married his long time girlfriend, Priscilla Chan, just a day after his social media company went public. The May news was announced on no other place but on Facebook.

Zuckerberg who turned 28 on same day his company went public, surprised his guests who had come to his house in Palto, California, to celebrate Chan’s graduation, with what turned out to be a simple wedding to Priscilla, 27. Priscilla is a graduate at the medical school of the Univeristy of California, San Francisco.

The pair had met in Harvard nine years ago, where Zuckerberg founded Facebook in 2004.

The wedding ring, a “very simple ruby” was designed by Zuckerberg.
