Jonathan appoints Rufa'i Alkali to replace Gulak as special adviser on political affairs

Reuben Abati, special adviser on media and publicity, and spokesman for President Goodluck Jonathan has appointed Professor Rufa’i Alkali as his new Special Adviser on Political Affairs.

Abati disclosed this in a statement made public on Thursday.

He said, “Professor Alkali, a Political Scientist, once served as National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, and was appointed Pro-Chancellor, Federal University of Technology, Minna last year. He hails from Gombe State.”

"The President has also appointed Hajia Baraka Sani as his Senior Special Assistant for Schools Agriculture Programme.

"Hajia Sani was until recently, the Kano State Commissioner for Agriculture.

"Both appointments are with immediate effect."
