East-West Center Announces 2014 Asia Studies Fellows

The East-West Center has announced the appointment of four 2014 Asia Studies Fellows at the East-West Center in Washington. The fellowship provides residence of three or six months at the East-West Center in Washington to scholars and analysts who wish to undertake policy-relevant research and writing on key issues of relevance to the U.S.-Asia relationship, including in the diplomatic, politico-security, economic, social and international fields.
Mendee Jargalsaikhan is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of British Columbia. He will conduct research on “The U.S.-Mongolia's Comprehensive Partnership: How to Maintain Momentum.”
Dinshaw Mistry is an Associate Professor at the University of Cincinnati. He will conduct research on “Assessing U.S.-India Defense and Strategic Relations.”
Joonui Park is a Ph.D. candidate at Boston University. She will conduct research on “Striking the ‘21st Century’ Trade Agreement: The Case of Intellectual Property Rights in the TPP Negotiations and U.S.-Northeast Asian Trade Relations.”
Vitaly Kozyrev is an Associate Professor at Endicott College. He will conduct research on “Reshaping Regional Orders: The Eurasian Union and the Politics of Integration Alliances in Eurasia.”
Fellows are supported through residence at the East-West Center in Washington and in some instances field research in Asia.
