Nigerian Army says it recovered arms, ammunition in a recent raid in Kaduna, Plateau

Maj.-Gen Chris Olukolade, Director of Defence Information, has said in a statement on Sunday that men of the Nigerian Army have raided camps of militants and cattle rustlers in Kaduna and Plateau states, and have arrested three injured cattle ruslters, while recovering 140 cows, 45 sheep, and unspecified number of arms and ammunition.
 
Olukolade said some of the militants were killed in the operation. He however, did not give the casualty figure. He stressed that some injured gunmen were undergoing interrogation.
   
He said arms and ammunition recovered from the militants in the operations in the two states include six rifles, 25 dane guns, 10 locally fabricated pistols and four revolvers.
 
He added that several rifles and empty ammunition boxes were recovered from the house of a suspected arms dealer in Shendam, Yelwa and a community along the border between Plateau and Kaduna states.
